Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 7, 2026
Truly Random, LLC is committed to making Presidentializer.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Standard We Aim For
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and EN 301 549, and used as the benchmark under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Current Conformance Status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not.
Known Issues
- Some decorative and secondary text (footer notes, ornamental dividers) has been raised in contrast but should be re-verified with an automated audit against the 4.5:1 minimum for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- The statistics charts in the "For Nerds" drawer convey information visually. Their underlying figures are available as text, but the charts themselves are not yet fully described for screen reader users.
- The ornamental frame around the converter is decorative SVG; it is hidden from assistive technology, but the surrounding layout has not been tested at 400% zoom on all breakpoints.
- Third-party components (Stripe Checkout, Cloudflare Turnstile, the cookie consent dialog) are governed by their vendors' own accessibility conformance.
What We Have Done
- Light and dark themes, with the user's system preference respected by default
- Semantic HTML with labelled form controls and error messages announced to assistive technology
- Keyboard-operable controls, including the converter, the nickname toggle, and all dialogs
- Decorative elements marked
aria-hiddenso they are not read aloud - Text that resizes without loss of content or function
Assessment Method
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by Truly Random, LLC. It has not yet been verified by an independent third party.
